Privacy Policy
The main purpose of the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee (BRAC) is to provide assistance to fire, law
enforcement and insurance industry investigators in fighting the crime of ARSON. A secondary
purpose is to make the public aware of the seriousness of ARSON and its consequences.
The BRAC website, OhioArsonReward.com,
does not collect and/or store any personally identifiable information from its visitors
except what the user provides through the Reward Application. Any information provided to
the Committee through the website will be at the user’s option and will be kept confidential.
Information will not be provided to any outside or third party. Please do not send sensitive
information such as social security numbers, credit card numbers or bank account numbers for
any reason.
Should you have a tip or valuable information to provide concerning a fire, please contact
the Fire Department or other agency investigating the fire. If you need assistance in
determining the correct Department to contact, please
contact
the Executive Secretary of BRAC. BRAC will not be held responsible for tips provided via
this website.
If an information request is made via the email addresses provided, the sender’s information
will not be provided to anyone unless requested by the sender of the email.
Nominations for Arson Rewards will be kept confidential and used for the expressed purpose of
the Committee. Private information will not be released without prior consent from the nominator
and/or reward applicant. Should anonymity be requested, the name of the Applicant will not be
provided to any party. See the Reward Application for details
on how to request anonymity.
Artwork provided during the Art Contest becomes the property of the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee
and may be used to promote public awareness. Posters can be posted on billboards and also on
banners used by the local Fire Department. Student names will not be released except at the
Reward Ceremony and in any press releases.
